You're such an animal

Except for a grey leopard print cardigan that I got a couple of years ago from a quirky little store on King's Road, that I manly wear around the house, and a newly purchased pair of bej leopard Steve Madden flats, I really couldn't accommodate any other obvious hint of animal death around me. Whether it's pink, blue, b&w, natural or fake leopard, whether it's zebra, tiger, parrot, snake or even cow, animal print was everywhere lately. You can find it all-around, from your goth-inspired store around the corner to mainstream DKNY, or environmentalist Vivienne Westwood. The English, Paul Smith, the French, Sonia Rykiel, the Aussie, Ksubi, and even the Swedish brands know for their minimalism, such as Acne, are in it on the animal action.  So I had to give in . . . just a little bit though. So I decided on a dress with the image of an actual animal printed on it. Printed animal, animal print, get it? Ya, I know you do, just couldn't help it. Anyhow, I know that Christopher Kane for Topshop is not news but I do think that his prints, and similar ones, could be a good option for anyone deciding to do animal print, but with a twist.

And the most beautiful cat in the world, says subjective me , loving the necklace . . .

I wore the Cristopher Kane for Topshop dress with a Kate Moss for Topshop jacket, which I got around the same time, and Falke tights. The peacock feathers headband is from Zara and the necklace is ELLE, didn't really know that Elle does jewelry, but seems like it. The boots on the other hand, oh the boots are Lanvin and I just love the squareness of the heel and the metal detail that it has. I have to admit that I was love at first sight, I saw them as soon as I walked in the store and knew that I wouldn't leave it without them.

Now for some more vintage mag inspiration . . .

Great choice, Ioana Liliana! (First I read you had to cage in... what?!) Especially love the picture of you half-lying on the stairs and the jaws pointing at us.
