To browse through a new magazine, feel the paper under my fingers, see the amazingly inspirational images, read ingeniously written articles, that is my idea of a perfect day activity. And if the magazin(s) in question is an indie one on fashion, culture, art and/or music, I'm in heaven.
As I've complained before, if there's one place to find these types of magazines, Romania is not that one. I'm one of the lucky ones, because I have the wonderful Clare as a PenPal who provides me with a regular dose of Dazed & Confused. And at home I usually have to settle for an French issue of Vogue, the occasional L'Officiel, or even an issue of Jalouse if I'm lucky, and for stocking up on indie mags when I'm abroad. Still, I crave for more.
You already know by now that there is nothing I like more than then smell of paper.Yet, one has to adjust when necessity calls for it, and so this is where the online version of magazines comes into play, which have turned out to be actually pretty cool. So, without further ado, here are my top 5 favourites . . .
- Dazed Digital The online version of my favourite printed mag was bound to make the top of my list. With an infinite scrolling feature, the new version of Dazed proved to be infinitely entertaining. Featuring categories such as Fashion, Arts & Culture, Photography, Music, and Video you're looking at an entire day in front of the computer. Just don't forget to press play on their monthly playlist for the accompanying soundtrack.
- Another or the place where you can dream about Meadham Kirchhoff's S/S2011 multicolored hair, Viktor & Rolf F/W 00 Couture, Alexander McQueen S/S 11 butterfly shoes, bring your tribute to Barbie with a Maison Martin Margiela look, and read a Gaspar Noe interview, while enjoying a rainbow bento lunch.
- Wonderland Although their fashion editorials are a quite inspirational, it's Wonderland TV that's got my interest. With videos featuring MISSONI by Kenneth Anger, DIOR HOMME AW10 By Jose Otero and Hans Lo, FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE by Ben Rayner, and GENERATION Y by Joost Vandebrug, I think it will get yours too.
- Inquiring Mind I just had to keep a place open for a mag that's more focused on culture and design. Having a very estetique and interactive design, this online magazine's articles are very easily navigable and worth a browsing.
- A Magazine I've saved the best for last, because the Belgian fashion publication really is a tread for the eyes and mind. Did you ever want to see how a magazine edited by your favourite designer would look like? Well, you're just died and gone to heaven. Or at least I did when I saw the list of curators for 'A Magazine' include: Maison Martin Margiela, Yohji Yamamoto, Haider Ackermann, Riccardo Tisci, and Proenza Schouler. I really need not say more.
Hope you've enjoyed my list and will continue to enjoy each of the ones featured on their one webpages. I know there are so many more out there, be them more or less known, homemade zines or flashy mags, please do share your favourites!

I loveeeeeeee WAD Magazine :*
I shall have a really good look at all of them. I always buy the paper issues of Vogue Spain , that is pretty good, as well as the Vogue of the countries I visit. In Style and Elle. Plus I always check the catwalk (runway) of my favourite designers on Vogue and Style.com.
Un abrazo fuerte.

I have a recommendation in particular: http://www.drama-magazine.com/. Unfortunately, I get to be happy only once a year, but when the time comes, it's really worth the waiting. And there is also, of course, http://www.interviewmagazine.com/. But I bet you already know this one. Mira
The online magazines sound great. I enjoy neet magazine.

I get French Vogue every month, but the 90th anniversary edition never came to my newsagent - devastated! Great picks, I'm a huge fan of Dazed Digital and Wonderland. I wrote a post about my favorite online magazine a few months ago if you'd like to look at that.
