One wild and precious life

I've written a long text about depression, heartbreaks, eating disorders, life, love, me, and others. About the joys of blogging, of communities, and friends, be them in the real or virtual world.
Yet I decided to delete it, because sometimes it is the words of others that say it better. Sometimes the words of complete strangers resonate perfectly with the most intimate of our feelings and predispositions.

I’ve learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, 
and it will be better tomorrow. I’ve learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way 
he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights. 
I’ve learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you’ll miss them when 
they’re gone from your life. I’ve learned that making a “living” is not the same thing as making 
a “life.” I’ve learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance. I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw something back. 
I’ve learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision. 
I’ve learned that even when I have pains, I don’t have to be one. I’ve learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back. 
I’ve learned that I still have a lot to learn. I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, 
people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.

Well, I wish I knew..but I'd rather not make plans. I just want to take it easy, and not freak out so often. Oh, and I really must learn that even when I have pains, I don’t have to be one :P.

Indeed, it's amazing how other people can put your exact feelings into words.

Looking at your PERFECT cat eyes I just want to cry. I only recently mastered it (or so I thought), but looking at your make up now I can see I'm far from it... ;)

I so know what you mean about the depression bit. I'm on a rough path myself and it's everyday struggle. And there's only hope in my that it may get better... X

I found the best remedy for being in a depression: the flight. When I feel that I slip in a massive negative mood, I take a cheap flight and enjoy the view of the clouds, the roundness of Earth and I realize that nothing is so important in this life but enjoying it. So... at the destination I have a positive attitude. That's it, it works good for me. Kisses!
